Nightingales started November off with some good old fashioned games. Residents had fun playing Quoits, Bowling, Dominoes and Animal bingo this week.
We played Guess the smell which was well received by all and some very good guessing of the stronger smells such as vinegar and gravy.
Nightingales celebrated Bonfire Night a day early with the help of Paul Barrie who came to sing followed by a few fireworks safely set off by Andrew. The majority of residents chose to stay indoors as it was cold and they enjoyed a little tipple from our bar whilst watching the pretty fireworks through the window.
Enid had a trip out to the supermarket to buy some ingredients for baking. She was wrapped up snug as a bug but spied the café as she got there so had a sneaky cuppa to warm her up. Residents baked some Parkin since its bonfire week and it was surprisingly easy to make. They measured the ingredients and enjoyed mixing it all together but most of all enjoyed sampling it more.
