Monday 9th December 24
A couple of residents had a wonderful time at the bowling club where they enjoyed a three course Christmas lunch with their friends from the local community.
Tuesday 10th December 24
Residents had fun doing chair exercises using a gigantic inflatable bauble followed by carol singing and singing and dancing with Keeley May who came to entertain us all.
Wednesday 11th December 24
Julie pampered the ladies with some Christmas themed nails and residents enjoyed playing snakes and ladders and with a large parachute. Some volunteers came from Chapeltown Academy this afternoon and enjoyed helping residents play bingo.
Thursday 12th December 24
Reverend Tim came to give Holy Communion and sing some Christmas Hymns this morning. In the afternoon residents enjoyed playing with Kinetic sand, colouring and doing crosswords and word searches.
Friday 13th December 24
We had a fabulous day and night of Christmas celebrations. Alan Turner and his mum came to sing this morning and we held our residents Christmas party in the afternoon. We had lots of relatives join us and Paul Barrie came to sing. The buffet was beautiful, quiz was good fun and we have so far raised an amazing £689.50 for our friends at Woolley Wood School. A big thank you to Santa who took time out of his busy schedule to visit us and a special mention to Julie Hill and friends for all their knitting contributions to help raise money.
