Activities 13th – 17th May 24

Monday 13th May 24

Residents had a nice day being pampered at the hairdressers by Lynn and playing a magnetic fishing game. Ernest and Brenda had a fabulous afternoon at the local church playing bowling, dominoes and enjoying tea and cake whilst receiving their well-earned trophies.

Wednesday 15th May 24

Julie came to pamper the ladies today and painted them some beautiful colours. Residents also had a nice day playing quoits, reading magazines and fiddling with sensory items.

Thursday 16th May 24

Reverend Sam was unable to deliver Holy Communion this morning so Jane decided to step in and say some prayers and sing hymns. She went a little overboard with the alcohol but as they say “it’s 5 o’clock somewhere”

Friday 17th May 24

Alan Turner came to entertain us all this morning and brought along his mum who was absolutely amazing despite having a sore throat. We hope she enjoyed it as much as we did and comes back again to sing for us.  Residents had a lovely afternoon playing card games and animal bingo.

Sonia – 25 Year Anniversary

Today we showed our appreciation to Sonia who has been Working at Nightingales for a whopping 25 years! (Yes, we know she doesn’t look old enough!)

Sonia is the back bone of the home and we would be lost without her. We thanked her for her loyalty and service with some beautiful gifts and a massive chocolate cake baked by our Deputy Linzi.
