Wow What a week! Too hot for our staff and residents at times which made us all a bit slow and sleepy but we managed to get a few activities in and had lots of fluids and ice lollies to hydrate and cool us down.
Residents enjoyed playing darts, quoits, fishing, card games, modelling with dough, doing some exercises using a beach ball and nursing empathy dolls.
They enjoyed being pampered as usual having hair and nails done and a couple of residents had a trip out to the local bowling club.
Entertainers this week were our old favorites Kevin Kitchen and Alan Turner and we had lots of family and friends visit. One moment that stood out was when Kate’s husband paid a surprise visit and they have not seen each other for months due to restrictions and illness so it was beautiful.
